Hiring a Co-Founder.
So I come from a traditional understanding of having a company co-founder as someone who you've been able to spend time with to build a professional understanding, context and a wavelength match with.
However, right now, I'm a lone wolf and I'm in need of finding a co-founder. There are postings online for that, but I'm not able to wrap my head around how you are able to comb through these listings and "hire" someone with whom you're supposed to have such a high and nuanced level of understanding with, that normally takes time to build.

My company tries to take over the "technical cofounder" role for a lot of businesses. We have a ton of experience getting startups off the ground. Think of us as somewhat of an incubator, but one that isn't pushing you the entire way to take VC. We're more focused on building organic, natural growth.
I think you can't hire a co-founder, this is a perfect relationship. If you pay him , he has to be agree in everything with you, and that is not the point. Find a co-founder it is very hard, you should start alone and then you will start to meet new people and it will be easier.
+1. It is not like most people go around asking "I want to find a Mom for my yet unborn child" :). Finding a co-founder is the same. Your start slow, meet new people, engage and learn, while moving forward in life regardless of how things turn out.
Just to understand better your post: a co-founder do to what ? A product? Do you have specific idea in mind, some validation, some customers?
Which kind of co-founder do you need ? More technical, more sales, more marketing, more everything ?
Yeah, a product. I have a prototype built, by my technical team. But there were issues that led to a fallout. I now have built a much stronger understanding of the market and exactly how I need to dive in, and might have to build it again. This time, I want to pick people right. I want a co-founder who's technical, and good at recruiting.
