Growth Manager — 3DAPI
3DAPI is the global manufacturing platform for 3D printing.
Orders come into our platform and are automatically routed to the print farm closest to the end customer — across 6 regions and 100+ countries.
Businesses can sell worldwide without owning a single machine.
The Role
One day, you're reaching out to a brand that could send thousands of orders through 3DAPI. The next, you're launching a campaign aimed at Etsy sellers, rewriting a landing page, or digging into why a funnel is leaking.
The role is roughly 50% B2B sales and 50% B2C growth marketing.
You'll work directly with the founders — not managing campaigns from a distance or handing leads to someone else, but finding the customers, sending the emails, running the experiments, and reading the results.
The question you'll help us answer every week: Where do the next 100 customers come from?
What You'll Own
B2B
- Build targeted prospect lists
- Run outbound through LinkedIn, email, and relevant communities
- Qualify leads
- Join demos and sales calls
- Manage the CRM and follow-up process
- Shape proposals and commercial offers
- Open new partnerships
- Over time, own the full sales cycle from first contact to signed customer
B2C
- Content and social distribution
- Reddit, creator, and community channels
- Lifecycle email campaigns
- Landing pages and conversion optimization
- SEO experiments
- Product Hunt and community launches
- Referral campaigns
- Paid acquisition tests
Across Both
- Define and track KPIs
- Understand the acquisition funnel
- Analyse CAC and channel performance
- Identify where leads drop off
- Improve activation and conversion
- Double down on the channels that show traction
We don't expect expertise in every channel. We expect you to test, measure, learn, and move quickly.
What We're Looking For
- You're comfortable starting conversations with strangers, following up, and asking for the sale
- You understand how channels, messaging, funnels, and conversion fit together
- You execute rather than delegate — here, the strategy and the sending are part of the same job
- You're fluent in written and spoken English and comfortable working with customers anywhere in the world
- You can take a goal, break it into actions, and move it forward without being told every next step
Nice to Have
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Startups, B2B SaaS, or marketplaces
- Outbound tools such as HubSpot, Apollo, Lemlist, Clay, or Instantly
- Paid acquisition channels
- SEO or content marketing
- E-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Etsy, Amazon, or TikTok Shop
- Using AI tools to research, automate, create, and move faster
- A genuine interest in 3D printing, e-commerce, or manufacturing
What We Offer
- Competitive salary, based on experience
- Equity through our ESOP — you'd be one of our first commercial hires, and we want you to own part of what you build
- Hybrid work from our Bucharest office, with flexibility when you need it
- The freedom to run your own experiments
- Visible impact on leads, orders, customers, and revenue
- Very little bureaucracy — we'd rather you ship than present
Where It Goes
We're hiring for years, not months.
As 3DAPI scales, this role can grow into ownership of entire acquisition channels, a significant sales pipeline, and eventually a team — with a path toward Head of Growth or broader commercial leadership.
How to Apply
Skip the cover letter.
Send the following to theodor@dapi.digital:
- Three companies you'd target first for 3DAPI, with one line on why for each
- The cold email you'd send to one of them
- Your CV or LinkedIn profile
We read every application and reply either way.
When hiring a Growth Manager, it's crucial to find someone who not only understands the tools you mentioned but also has a solid grasp of your specific industry. In my experience, the right candidate should demonstrate expertise in leveraging content marketing alongside outbound strategies.
Here are a few suggestions to refine your search:
Prioritize Experience: Look for candidates who have directly driven growth through content strategies in similar fields. Maybe they've managed successful SEO campaigns or executed effective outreach that led to meaningful conversions.
Skill Assessment: Consider implementing a practical task during the interview process. Ask them to create a brief content strategy or outline their approach to utilizing one of the outbound tools you mentioned for your specific audience. This can give you insights into their thinking and methodology.
Cross-Channel Knowledge: Since growth often comes from a mix of channels, seek someone with a comprehensive understanding of how various strategies work together. They should be able to tell you how they would balance inbound content with outbound tactics for maximum impact.
Analytics Focus: A Growth Manager should be data-driven. Look for someone who can benchmark performance and adjust strategies based on analytics. This will be vital as you test various channels to see what resonates best with your users.
Cultural Fit: Beyond skills and experience, it’s important they fit into your company culture. A Growth Manager will likely be working across teams, so interpersonal skills and adaptability matter just as much.
From my own journey, I’ve found investments in team culture and practical skills in candidates lead to stronger outcomes. Good luck with your search!
