Hiring: Technical Co-Founder for Naborino
Naborino connects condo neighbors, helping them build communities, discover new products and services, and buy as a group to save money. Vendors create group buying offers to Naborino communities—giving vendors a new promotional and sales channel and helping them save on the costs of new customer acquisition and last mile delivery.

We believe that every residential building has the potential to house a thriving and supportive community of neighbours. They're currently just missing the structure and incentives to unlock the many social and economic benefits of local community. That's where we come in.
Our App:
Naborino is structured as a "Market Network" - a hybrid of:
-A hyper-local social network for the neighbours in each residential community.
- A community group buying marketplace that allows vendors to set a minimum group order size before a discount unlocks for all buyers.
- A set of workflow tools that allow us to add value for other stakeholders like building management, condo boards and real estate marketers.
The Role:
Our team is looking for a Technical Co-Founder who can lead our technical strategy as we bring the initial version of our app to market and potentially grow into the role of CTO. Someone who has a passion for building all technical aspects of an organization and app, embraces the unknown and the ambiguous, is a technical genius, embraces our social mission, and also knows how to have fun.
We are an early-stage start-up with immense growth opportunities in a HUGE market —this is the opportunity to get on the ground-level to build something amazing and make a positive social impact.
In this Role you Will:
- Oversee the app development with a hands-on approach—we need someone strategic and someone who can also code
- Develop strategies, manage relationships and sprints, and set priorities with internal and external development teams
- Conduct technical reviews of products and solutions to evaluate their applicability
- Collaborate closely with the executive team on product features, priorities, issues, and overall company strategies and direction
- Track, analyze, and monitor technological performance metrics
- Rapidly iterate and test first version products
- Make architectural decisions to ensure a strong, stable, and scalable product
Who You Are:
- You’re a hands-on collaborator that has a growth mindset and excels at problem-solving, communicating clearly, and finding new ways to get things done
- History of building and leading technical teams in early-stage technology companies - especially in B2C marketplaces or social networks. You will shape the growth that will touch millions of people.
- You are a builder and innovator - we have aggressive plans to scale and are confident we are creating a world-changing product.
- You are curious - you will lead the development team to deliver outstanding technical, structural and design expertise to the organization and develop software that is secure, scalable, performant and follows industry best practices.
- You specialize in developing maintainable software, growing, coaching and motivating people using an agile approach.
- 10+ years of industry experience
- Strong operational and management skills with a track record of on-time delivery and consistently meeting project deadlines.
- Passion for new technology, knowing when to use it, and when not to use it.
- Ability to balance appropriate levels of quality, security, load balancing / performance, disaster recovery and test/deployment automation.

Note on Equity and Compensation:
As one of Naborino's first executive hires, the right candidate would be "getting in on the ground floor." Compensation for this role will be heavily (if not entirely) weighted towards equity, allowing you to benefit from the value that you create at this critical early stage. We will ideally have our candidate for this key role on board before we complete our first round of fundraising at which point we will negotiate a competitive salary.
