Hit 🎉 40K users 🎉 ahead of the launch

**Yet another launch.

As the launch day is finally nearing, I would like to share my first ever milestone with Previewed (which is quite a big one) - it just hit 40K users!

💡 Idea
I had (and still have) a portfolio of apps, which all required cool visuals for promotion / landing pages. I paid my part-time designer to create them as it seemed worth the ROI on final campaigns. I decided to automate my designer and so, my vision was to help indie devs and tech teams to create visuals & marketing assets for their apps, with ease. Previewed idea was born.

3D images - Launch value $3k
3D video (NOW) - Launch value ???

✍️ Things I did
In the months leading up to this milestone, I mini-launched multiple times - on Product Hunt, here on IH and Reddit. Not every launch was a success (it was a hit or miss), but every launch brought product validation, users & feedback. 40K users are on the back of product + launches.

👂 Things to emphasise

  1. Launches - It total, they raised around $5,000. Not a lot, but it's validation.
  2. Product - Build a great product. I'm 1/10 of the way there. Let your product do the talking. I've persuaded my brother to quit a $100K+ role to help me on this. Makes it 1000 times more fun to work as a duo.
  3. Support - I replied within 5 minutes to every customer ticket (as long as I was not sleeping). In the process you build a connection and get real feedback.

👉 Things I plan to do more

  • Social Media (Twitter seems very promising)
  • Email Marketing (Better engage existing users)
  • UI/UX - (Once core features are done)
  • Talk to customers

I plan to make a few posts, which highlight specific events in more detail and quantify their impact, but wanted to keep this post more general. Let me know if you have any questions on my journey so far.

✨ Whoop Whoop ✨

Well done, sir! Thank you for sharing your inspiring journey.

  2. 1

    Impressive, following your journey!

  3. 1

    This is really nice !
    Congrats !

This looks really impressive! I don’t have a need for regular mock-ups like these, but they certainly lol beautiful.

Minor typo in pricing. “Billed 108$ per year” should be “Billed $108 per year.”

Thanks for pointing this out. Will fix on upcoming release.

Today I was actually looking for your web app. I came upon it about a month ago on Reddit and was thinking about using it today. I could not for the life of me remember how to come upon the product again - didn't have it bookmarked, etc. I tried to google for it but I didn't find it there. Then I remembered I attributed it in my own portfolio haha. Good stuff, you've got a repeat user from me!

Thank you Joseph! Next time you are using Previewed, just shout out a super random word. Apparently it's psychologically proven to help you remember 😅

Epic. Super impressive, keep to momentum going!

This is AMAZING! I'm definitely going to purchase this soon for our marketing. One question, is the Macbook display functional now or is that a future feature?

    1. 2

Thank you! You can use MacBook display & replace the contents with video & images.

      1. 1

Going to purchase the Pro version today! Great job on the project again

  8. 1

Great read and thank you for sharing! I'm actually one of your customers and have produced some neat app store images. Looking forward to your progress.

Thank you & love to hear this! Let me know if you have any requests or suggestions

  9. 1

Thanks for sharing! BTW, your landing page is looking much better as well :)

Congrats on the 40k users. PH + IH + Reddit is a great combo for almost all the startups. Just had a glance on your site's rankings.

No doubt the amount of traffic & sales would be doubled if you could get ranked on top for keywords like 'mock generators', free mockup generators', 'instagram mockup', 'iphone mockup' etc..

Just sharing a tip, add more content on those relevant pages by including the keywords in 'People Also Search for' & 'Related Keywords' & working on onsite seo itself will rise your positions in SERP. Backlinks will make it strong.

Another point is try answering those PAAs, will increase your 'EAT' as well. (Expertise, Authoritativeness & Trustworthiness)!

    All the best!

Very useful feedback. I do plan to spend some time on SEO, but once the core product is defined. You are 101% right though, I think it could be a great channel. It's just a matter of trade-offs at this point.

      1. 1

Sure, Happy to discuss in detail.

  11. 1

This is awesome! I like your idea of doing "mini launches" to see how your product does. Congrats

  12. 1

Congratulations! Big milestone - all the best in the future, from one entrepreneur to another!

    1. 2

Thanks. Also, I've always wanted to arrange some sort of a meetup in London (5-10 people). Just to socialize & help out / talk in real life. Let me know if you'd be keen to join.
