This holiday season, I'm setting out on a unique 5-day coding challenge and I'd love to get your thoughts on it. The plan? To build an open-source project utilizing the full potential of AI tools for speed up development process. The goal is a super lightweight, headless forms server that's a breeze to install on any cost-effective hosting platform or even free cloud instances.

Project Overview:

The essence of this project is to create a server that's:

• Feather-light with an SQLite database: We're talking minimal footprint, easy backups just by downloading a file, and no extra costs for managed databases.
• Open-source and self-hosted: Your data stays yours. Fully compliant with GDPR and other privacy standards.

Tech Stack:

• Backend: PHP. I know, it's an old-school choice, but its versatility is unmatched for diverse hosting environments.
• Database: SQLite. A pragmatic choice for simplicity and cost-effectiveness.
• Frontend: Still deciding, but I'm leaning towards a micro frontend framework that’s hassle-free, with no build requirements.

Key Features:

• A simple REST API for retrieving form structures by ID and submitting data.
  Integration of ReCaptcha for security.
• A straightforward admin panel for form management, submission reviews, and user role management (read-only or full access).

Why This Project?

The idea is to make something practical, easy to deploy, and useful for a wide range of applications, from small businesses to personal projects. With the increasing need for data privacy and cost-effective solutions, this tool could fill a significant gap.
