Honest feedback for our latest product landing page :)

Hey IndieHackers! 🚀 Seeking feedback on our AskCory landing page (targeting marketing freelancers and small agencies).

Check it out and please tell us what you think. Your insights matter! 💡

https://www.askcory.ai/lp-marketers-hero-form

We would like to understand if new website visitors will understand what it is and if it is enticing enough to read more.
Thanks in advance!

In case you want to know more about the project, some context:
I'm an entrepreneur in residence in a Portuguese venture builder and incubator, called Build Up Labs.
We have a framework for ideation, so we can launch several digital products during the year. Fail fast mindset, basically :)

AskCory is one of those ideas that is now in soft launch phase. For now it's a niche SaaS product, but if we get enough traction, will continue developing it to something bigger.

I like the explaining that it's better than asking chatGPT directly and unique replies. I noticed you have partnerships with other tools, I think it will be beneficial adding them on the landing page with the headline that users can save their costs with you

      Thanks for your inputs @taruza!
The partnerships thing is now on my to do list :D

I like the design of the navigation bar, and the price bar is centered and easy to see.
But I think the user reviews should be put more in the front, it will make me feel that the product is really helpful to me and make me more impulsive to buy it.
The other thing I felt bad about was that there was too much text, which made it feel a bit cluttered. There's too much to read. Maybe a short video would have been a better choice.

hey @Crispian, thanks for your comments!
will definitely review the copy length and think of a way to highlight customer reviews faster :)

I just had a glimpse at it and I have to say

    • Too much animation. Users dont care about fade in.
    • Colors are too light. Slightly thicker colors or gradients might be good.
This is purely my opinion and if you think it makes sense to your users do what you think is good.

Hey @owlmaniac, thanks for the feedback!
Agree, visual assets (image/video) need serious improvement.
Will try to discuss colors across the sections with designers too!

    Hey Vitor!

    So, what are you saying:
We would like to understand if new website visitors will understand what it is and if it is enticing enough to read more.
Did you think about user journey, how they would get the link, why they would open the page? It is not very common for people now just randomly open the link without context.
So, I guess, they will follow your targeting, introduction, social page etc. And open the page more or less knowing about the product.

And let's continue here, first screen:

Client know the story behind, let's leave some short text like "create your strategy in 5 minutes" and let client just fill the fields

And yes, it is really too much text, shorter the better

Also, ask to log in after user already expect to see the result kinda bad UX, it is better to show preview of the result and then ask user to log in to see the rest.

      @elisabetkach, thanks for your feedback!
Right now, the traffic to this page is coming from Meta Ads (leads type, where they already leave their email and name).
I understand it's bad UX to have to insert contact details again/signup, but I'm not sure if our Dev team has a better short term solution...I will check with them again!

And so, has it is a FB/Instagram ad, they actually don't know much about AskCory before landing on this page.

      THanks once again!

Very bad colour choices, too much text, some of the text only exists on landscape mode?

You need the eye to be able to focus on one thing at a time

Look at shortening texts on the top section up until and including the CTA

Default to bright theme (text should be dark, no mixing), high contrast

    1. 1

Thanks for the comments @hatkyinc, even if they start with "very bad..." ahah
On this page, all the text is on desktop and also mobile devices. I think that copy is more a matter of quality than quantity, and maybe the quality here is not good enough yet and also the images themselves have too much text.
Do you think that on the homepage the text should be dark too, let's say on the hero section: https://www.askcory.ai/ ?

      1. 1

Flip you phone both ways and look for this text
"It generates strategic tactics, action plans and assets.
Effortlessly integrates actionable insights and benchmarks,"

The home page seem to have the same colour theme and issues colour wise, it's half bright theme, half dark theme, low contrast, mixes that don't look right

        1. 1

oh yes, I forgot it. But some parts may be optimized for mobile, like the text in the hero section yes.

and thanks again for the extra design comments on the HP too! we will consider it on the next design improvements for the website!

Its okay and I understand what its promising.

All the busy UI screen images dont help you - they are distracting.

The biggest thing for me is you have no credibility. You say you offer something more that GPT4 and say my output from it will be inferior but you offer no justification for the statement - and that statement is key as to whether you're worth my time investigating more.

As it was, my reaction was 'looks interesting'....'okay, seems there's no substance to the claims...moving on'.....Remember, you only have seconds to convince someone landing on that page you are worth more of their valuable time.

Genuinely, would have loved to understand how your offering is different/better. We're at a point already where everyone is claiming to be using AI, so you have to sell to better than simply saying 'we use AI and its better than GPT4'.

    Hope that helps.

    1. 1

      It helps indeed, @W0zzaW0z !
You are totally right about the visual assets on this page, we will need to invest in the design of it.

And excellent point about the need to explain why AskCory would be better than ChatGPT for the Marketing/Sales use case!
We have some explanation about the framework we are applying on the homepage (https://www.askcory.ai/ close to the bottom...), but I now realize it has to become more obvious much more faster!

      Thanks once again!
