Can you check our landing page and tell us what you think? Are we missing something? Is the idea clear?
I initially posted this on the Newsletter Crew group but realized my mistake so now I'm posting it on the right spot. I'm new on IH - still learning the ropes.
Our Product Hunt launch yesterday didn't go as well as planned, and that made us think about a few things regarding our strategy. We have already pinpointed a few things we could have done better (will write more about it later), but the 19 upvotes - yes, only nineteen - made us wonder about a few things.
We want to ask some of you for honest feedback. Our newsletter delivers Stock Market info to your email every morning.
The landing page is nice and clean but the right side I would definitely make it more of a 'visual' - i.e. in an email body so it doesn't clash with the core message. I was conflicted on where to look and both sides scrolled which threw me off. I always go on the premise the users are lazy and the simplest of things can lose their attention.
Thank you so much for the feedback.
Is it a #nocode project? @gismullr
Pretty interesting tho!
The landing page is pure html and css. The newsletter has a lot of code involved. You can check it out here: https://github.com/eduardosasso/bullish
The idea is definitely clear and I like the design.
I've read on some other forums that people are tired of "for the price of a coffee", because financially minded people (probably your target market!) likely spend 20 cents on homemade coffee instead :).
I think the pricing is very fair and doesn't need that anyway
Thank you for the feedback. And that actually makes total sense with the coffee comment. When we first wrote it we thought it was genius, but after reading your comment we went, oops, that is right. So thanks a lot. A lot of times an outside opinion is really helpful.
Hey Gisele - I love the landing page! I'm an investor in the stock market so I'm definitely your target audience. I like the email angle although could you add a text message angle as well? I think I'd prefer to get that via text so it doesn't clutter my inbox.
I would hope that I could somehow customize the alerts to my specific portfolio of stocks.
One last thing, I hate going to Yahoo Finance because all the ads really degrade the performance. So maybe that's something you think about in the future.
Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for the feedback! I'm one of the founders. I hear you. Also agree that links to Yahoo finance are not the best, wondering where would be a good website to link to.
