Honing in on positioning - does my landing page resonate with you?

Hi all,

I've been working hard on positioning for Copybranch...

I'd be really curious to hear how the new messaging on the landing page resonates with you: https://www.copybranch.com

--

Originally I described it as "a tool for writing landing page copy, while building layout". The issue with this is, it's basically a new category of tool that is hard for people to understand by reference.

What I've realised is that, really, Copybranch is a wireframing tool that is designed for landing pages, rather than application screens/UX. It's the low fidelity content focused step you need before heading into design and development on your website.

Existing wireframing tools like Whimsical are great for prototyping application flows, but extremely time consuming and messy for building out actual content in layout.

Appreciated!

    Interesting idea!

    Who is your audience?

With that being said, I did not get the title at all. Who are what is a conversion optimizer?

Copybranch helps you write compelling landing page copy, while seemlessly wireframing layout in low fidelity.

I think that subtext is much more clearer.

You might want to do a spell check on your content. "seemlessly" is misspelled.

Replace "conversion optimizer" with "Landing page optimizer"?

How do I know it's optimal?
How do I know what I wireframe here will fit into my template? Or do you target people who build them from scratch?

Most landing page hosting websites already have a built in editor.

To say that you help optimize conversion you probably should help tracking it. It didn't see any info about that.

Why would someone sign up for a monthly plan?
Are there people who keep making lots of landing pages?
If they do, don't they already have tools for that?

I guess you studied the market and have some audience in mind, so read my questioning of your idea as a failure to communicate your message to me, not a failure of the idea.

    Here is something positive! :)
Have you tried making it "meta" by placing your entire landing page inside your editor?
Anyone playing with it will interact with your content on a much closer level if they have to edit it.

Mate, only just saw this great feedback. I actually totally forgot I made this late night Indiehackers post! Your feedback is on point and I have to find the time to do a lot of thinking about messaging as its clearly not working.

      Re: StackMuncher.

I really like the copy. It very quickly addresses a lot of my concerns (what does this do, what is the catch). The one lingering question I have that I don't think is addressed clearly is: "what is this profile builder actually going to do? what permissions will I need to give it?". I don't want to click an extra link to find that out.

From a design point of view, I would say there is an overuse of gray boxes moving down the page. It creates no hierachy and makes it very difficult for me to scan. It also makes them all seem like different types of the same entity.

Thanks Dan. Very insightful. Ping me if you need another review later.
        A quick follow-up question ...
When you say "what is this profile builder actually going to do?", do you want to understand how it works in general or is it more from a trust/safety perspective like can it do harm or steal my data?

For me, its not so much about security but rather the CTA to use the profile builder represents a lot of mental load to me. I don't know if that's going to be a simple experience or a bit finnicky, and so I am hesitant to find out.

I think something simple to layout what exactly happens as part of that flow would alleviate that mental load.

Gotcha! Spot on. Thanks Dan! :)
