Hootsy - I built a tool that tracks which words visitors highlight on your site โ€” launching today on Product Hunt

Hey IH community ๐Ÿ‘‹
I'm Ayush, a 9 to 5 IT Professional, who got the courage to build something and share with the world.
I just launched Hootsy and wanted to share the story here because this community has always been where I come to think out loud.
The gap I kept seeing:
Working in marketing analytics, I watched teams obsess over heatmaps, scroll depth, and session recordings โ€” and still make copy decisions on gut feel. None of those tools answered the one question that actually matters:
Which specific words made someone stop?
Highlighting is a native browser behaviour. People highlight things they care about โ€” to copy, to Google, to save for later. That signal was always there. Nobody was capturing it.
So I built Hootsy.
What it does:
Drop a JS snippet on your site. Hootsy captures every text highlight your visitors make โ€” passively, with zero friction on their end.
You see:

Ranked highlight counts per phrase
Breakdown by country, device, and OS
Live highlight feed with page URL and timestamp
Links visitors are clicking
Time spent per page

Who it's for:
Copywriters, founders, marketing teams, and agencies who want to know what's landing โ€” before rewriting a single word.
Where I am right now:

โœ… Live at tryhootsy.com
โœ… Free to try (snippet takes 2 mins to set up)
๐Ÿš€ Launching on Product Hunt today

Honest ask:
If this solves a problem you've had โ€” try it and tell me where it breaks. That's genuinely more valuable to me than upvotes right now.
And if you're on Product Hunt today, an upvote would mean a lot to a solo founder ๐Ÿ™

Ayush, Hootsy launched without a th locale. Thai buyers bounce English screenshots even when the product is good. I can mark Hootsy against an 8-point Thai-store checklist if useful.

Hey Ayush, congrats on launching Hootsy! Tracking which words visitors highlight is such a clever idea for understanding what actually resonates on a page. Wanted to flag a tool that might help with visibility after the PH launch -- it's called Markey (markey.app). It keeps your product consistently showing up on social so you're not scrambling to post updates manually. Could be worth a look. G

    The signal is strong.

    Heatmaps show where people moved.
Hootsy shows what actually created intent.

    Thatโ€™s the more valuable layer.

The bigger opportunity is not โ€œhighlight analytics.โ€
    Itโ€™s message intelligence.

Once people use this to see what gets highlighted, the next obvious question becomes:
which words increase action, trust, or conversion enough to rewrite the page around?

    Thatโ€™s the real wedge.

โ€œHootsyโ€ is memorable, but the product is already moving closer to copy intelligence than simple highlight tracking.

Xevoa.com would carry that broader positioning better if this expands from behavioral analytics into conversion intelligence.
