Hot take: Don't cold email

<rant>
As a user, I hate cold email. My previous job at large engineering firms would get tons of inbound, unsolicited emails. They are all garbage:

• Obviously automated
• Done zero research on who I am as a prospect
• Make my inbox largely useless

I 100% of the time mark them as spam. If I see they email my employees as well, I block the domain on the org's email server and report every message as spam. Sometimes my employees get phone calls from these spammers, in which case I send my legal counsel to them.

Dear builders: Don't cold email. I know it may "work", but it is also bottom feeder behavior. Instead:

• Build real relationships
• Create great content people can respond to
• Get savvy with online ad tools if you need "cold" outreach
