Hotel contacts
Hello IH ,
I am building a tool for hotel owners but not able to contact anyone through their websites. The town where I stay does not have the kind of customer base I am looking for. Any idea how I can reach out to decision makers in hotels? The email ids mentioned on websites are usually for reservations or sales.

Hi ! Thanks for your response. I actually took some time off from IH so I saw your response now. I was building a chatbot for hotel websites that would answer typical questions from the prospective guests so it would reduce the amount of emails staff have to answer. I looked at Q&A on trip advisor and realized many properties have been answering very similar questions. I couldn't get in touch with right people and then Covid happened, so have shelved it for now, but if there are any takers, happy to resume that. Do let me know what you think.
In theory it's a good idea. However,most of chain hotels buy into "virtual central reservation office", where posts and questions are answered by call centre agents. If a hotel is not buying into that service, they are unlikely to want to shell out for a chatbot. I'd target smaller chains or independent hotels, but that would be quite resource-intensive on your side. Normally, it would be management companies that would make these sort of decisions, not hotel GMs themselves (unless it's a mum-and-pop hotel).
