People tend to listen to music based on their mood and interests. Computer vision is an interdisciplinary field that helps convey a high-level understanding of digital images or videos to computers. So based on the outcome of the Face Expression algorithm we could help the Listener with the best Music/Song Category and play the songs from this Category. It sounds awesome right. Do you think people are willing to pay extra to have their emotions read to adjust music? Would you install cameras in your house specially for that? Or are you just thinking of an always on laptop camera and expect the user to adjust the camera to oneself for listening?..
It's probably a big project... Not sure if it creates as much precived value as to make it worthwhile..
What do you think about Spotify in comparison to your idea?
Spotify lets the user choose moods and then suggest songs accordingly and it's working pretty well with a very high conversion rate.
I'd say I have a non-recognizable mood when I sit in front of my laptop.
