How AI could remove the most frustrating parts of building websites

Hey Indie Hackers

While building side projects and MVPs, I keep noticing the same friction points in website creation:

• Initial setup takes too long
• Writing content slows everything down early
• Small changes still require dev time
• MVPs feel heavier than they should
• Agencies repeat the same workflows for every client

Most website tools optimize design, but not momentum.

Lately, I’ve been exploring a different approach:
What if AI handled the boring and repetitive parts first?

Imagine starting with:
– What the website is for
– Who it’s for
– What pages it needs

Then letting AI generate:
– A usable structure
– First-pass content
– A coherent layout

This shifts the work from building from scratch to editing and refining, which feels much closer to how founders actually think.

For me, this approach has made it much easier to:
• Launch MVPs faster
• Create drafts for clients
• Validate ideas without overbuilding

I’m curious what others here think:

– Where does website building slow you down the most today?
– Would you trust AI with structure, content, or neither?

Looking forward to hearing different perspectives.
