How AI-first almost ruined everything

At migroot.io we help people relocate and handle visa paperwork. Super manual, lots of expert review — so of course I thought: hey, let’s automate more with AI.

It was going great… until one day our shiny new agent decided to change a couple passport digits in a visa form. 🤦‍♀️
Not a glitch you want when someone’s moving countries.

We caught it before it hit real customers, but still — a wake-up call. In high-stakes workflows, “AI-only” can turn small hallucinations into expensive disasters fast.

So we’re keeping humans in the loop. AI speeds things up; experts keep it safe.

If you’re hacking on something where mistakes cost real money or trust, maybe don’t push humans out just yet.

Wow, this hit home. It’s so easy to get excited about automating everything with AI and forget how one tiny “hallucination” can snowball into a real mess when money, trust, or legal docs are involved. Totally agree that “human in the loop” is underrated. AI makes things faster, but humans keep it grounded.

I’ve had a similar moment where AI spit out something that looked fine at first glance, but would have caused big issues if I hadn’t double-checked. Honestly, building that balance between speed and safety feels like the real challenge right now.

Successful Recovery of Stolen Bitcoin Funds-APEX INTERVENTION LTD

I experienced a devastating loss when my entire life savings — approximately $213,811 in Bitcoin (BTC) — were stolen in a cryptocurrency scam. Initially, I was informed by several sources that recovery was impossible, and I had nearly given up hope.

Fortunately, I came across an article referencing APEX INTERVENTION LTD, a reputable recovery specialist known for assisting victims of scams and fraudulent transactions. Despite my initial skepticism, I decided to reach out and engage their services.

To my astonishment, they successfully recovered the full amount that had been taken from me. I am sharing this information in the hope that it may assist others who have experienced similar financial losses.

Too many managers are convinced that AI can do it all, and I think that's something that real CEOs need to understand deeply.

AI-first, which prioritizes technological capability over real-world usability and ethics, nearly ruined everything. The relentless pursuit of scale and speed has resulted in biased models, privacy breaches, and misinformation. It was a stark lesson: AI must be human-centered, designed with thoughtful governance, or its powerful tools risk causing catastrophic societal harm.

This really resonates. In my own work with AI I’ve seen how small “hallucinations” can turn into big trust issues fast.
Keeping humans in the loop feels like the only responsible way forward right now — speed plus safety. Thanks for sharing your story. 🙌

I definitely understand the need for automating things but it's one of those "just because you can doesn't mean you should", glad you were able to save the situation!

    Did you fired him? 😂

Exactly.....AI is a powerful tool, but humans are still the safety net, especially when errors can be costly or damaging.
