How are SaaS founders feeling right now in the current economy?

Curious to know how folks are holding up? I've seen a lot of sad news currently with layoffs and VCs cooling down.

I feel like founders are a bit differently built than those being laid off.

Their target markets are also so far beyond their reach at the moment that it'll take 2-5 years to care about the market growth itself.

Interesting. I was wondering whether people were feeling a slowdown in signups and pressure to reduce costs.

But as you suggest, maybe the end user isn't fully affected just yet, but when they are, it will start to impact the founders.

I feel like after 4 years of building apps, I'm losing motivation due to tons of SaaS fuck ups. I seem to be the very few to pick terrible. I feel worse than terrible, I feel like United States has failed as a country as we keep getting bad presidents and leaders. Ones like Donald Trump who fucking bully people and Joe Biden who is lazy assholes.

Man, that really sucks. Sorry to hear you're feeling like that.

If you are selling to other IndieHackers, you should feel pretty concerned. Decent if you sell to SMB. Great if you sell to Enterprises. Fantastic if you sell critical infrastructure to mid-market or Enterprises.

      Useful breakdown by market cap.

I would more say it’s based on the likely hood your customers will cease to exist.
