Firstly, I tried searching for this title and only found a few old ones, thought it
might be cool to share some ideas of how we're getting new users in this 2020 post-peak covid world.
After working on my idea, Fledgling, for about 6 months on and off and I've just got it to a stage that is usable. Buuut... I pulled a classic naive dev move and vastly underestimated marketing and the difficulty of acquiring new users.
I'm currently working on blog posts and trying to do regular twitter posts about things in the industry (property market).
After reading http://paulgraham.com/ds.html (Do things that don't scale) I ordered some leaflets to posting to people near by.
Apart from continuing down this road, I'm almost out of ideas.
What are you doing to get new users/your first users??
(Apologies if it's been asked loads, I'm new here, still figuring this thing out. :p )
