How are you all building modern-looking UI/UX for your landing and home pages?
I am working on https://apexpad.app. It's an interview collaboration platform for Salesforce apex language. I am a fulltime Salesforce developer that's how I got the idea for my web app(I did not validate the idea). I learned programming while on job as a Salesforce developer, so didn't know anything other than Salesforce apex programming. I learned all I needed while building my app. The tech stack I used for building my app are Express app, Node.js, handlebars, vanilla JS, Firebase auth, Firebase infrastructure and a lot of Node.js middleware. To get to the point, frontend UI development is something I am struggling with. How are you all building modern looking frontend pages? Also, if you can, please visit my app and give me some feedback.

Hey, I had a quick look on the webapp.
It seems quite slow when clicking on each page which could be because it's loading quite a lot of things from the db. The downside is that people don't really have the patience to wait around, so it would be good to to have a loading state and show a loading page to let people know that data is loading from the backend.
From reading through your stack above, it looks too complicated and over-engineered for something that should be quite simple. Take a look at NextJS. It'll help from a frontend and backend perspective as well as help you get the webapp up and running with speed. You also don't have to worry about routing like you would with express.

So for https://supastarter.dev we use https://chakra-ui.com. It's a great component library for react which gives you great looking, accessible components you can customize however you like!
Currently using WebFlow, No-code platform with pretty much templates over their marketplace.

I mean that's a bit hard to access.
Of course there are libraries and tools to help you, but if someone who is good at building UIs and someone who is not good at it builds something in the same stack there will be a huge difference in the output.
More important than the stack you use, is your knowledge and skill. Learn some basic UI and UX (not the same thing) principles and practice making a few UIs.
They will get better.
