How are you planning to market your SaaS this Q4? 🚀

Q4 is always interesting for SaaS tons of competition, but also one of the best times to capture attention if you’ve got the right strategy.

I’ve been talking with a few founders who are thinking of using this season to push harder on marketing, and we’ve been exploring creative ways to test campaigns and share resources while keeping costs low.

Curious about your take:
👉 What’s the #1 marketing lever you’re planning to pull this Q4?
👉 Do you think Q4 is about doubling down on ads, building community, or something else entirely?

Would love to hear how others here are approaching it and maybe even swap strategies to make sure no one leaves opportunities on the table.

    Hi!

I recently joined this pretty small start up, where i have to do everything by mylself.
So no huge budgets on ads, maybe not even thinking of them just for this q4, any advice to find a way how to manage this?

    thanks!

Totally get that being the “one-person team” phase is real.
If you’re skipping ads this Q4, focus on organic traction: build in public, share small results, and use automation to stay consistent.
It’s not about doing more, just doing what converts.
If you’d like, I can share a simple system that helps founders like us get results without spending on ads.

        hey there Josh
I'd really appreciate that, right now im trying to find organic sources that convert, but analyzing is taking a lot of time and then they not always work!!

Yeah, that makes total sense finding organic sources that actually convert can eat up weeks.
One thing that’s worked well for some early-stage founders I’ve talked to is creating a simple “validation funnel” that filters out what’s worth scaling before wasting time on platforms that don’t perform.
It’s not complicated, but it does require a specific setup to track what’s truly driving conversions.
If you’d like, I can walk you through how to set that up the smart way.

This is a great conversation starter. My take is that the 'doubling down on ads' approach in Q4 is the classic rookie trap. It's expensive and often based on guesswork, which is a major budget risk during the holiday scramble.

The single most powerful lever for SaaS in Q4 is almost always Email Retention and high-scarcity promotional sequences.

The Logic: Your existing users and warmest leads are the golden revenue that's already validated your service. They have year-end budget left to spend, and they are already distracted by holiday noise. Q4 isn't the time to chase expensive, cold leads; it's the time to secure the year-end budget from the people who already know you.

We focus on high-scarcity, value-driven promotions directed at segmented churn-risk or expansion-ready users. That 3.2x RPE lift I've mentioned before? That strategy is always focused on the current list first.

If you have a solid email sequence, Q4 is about pulling that internal retention lever, not guessing with a double ad spend. What kind of scarcity angle is everyone focusing on this year?

That’s such a sharp perspective and honestly, you nailed it. Most people overlook how powerful their existing audience really is during Q4. The “year-end budget” mindset is gold it’s not about chasing, it’s about nurturing what’s already warm.

I’ve actually been seeing similar trends where focusing on retention, scarcity, and timing creates way more predictable revenue than pouring money into cold ads. Curious are you combining those scarcity promos with any automation or AI-driven segmentation this year? I’ve seen that amplify results big time.
