I find a niche, possibly that I've written on before, and answer loads of Q's in that area. I then add the same answer for several variances of the same question and keep a lookout for any others that arise that need some small tweaks. Pointing to a blog for a more extensive answer also helps. Finally, pictures are an excellent way to attract attention.
It's a bit of effort, but there was a period where Quora was our primary source of incoming traffic.
Take a look at IndieHackers interviews here (ToolWatch, LeadsBridge, Epic Plugins and Themes, BugTower). I've read a bunch of founder interviews and those mentioning Quora just consistently answered questions on their niche.
Some just put their URL into their name (like ToolWatch), Courtland talked about this 2 days ago and I think it's a really under-utilized way to get people to discover you.

Ofcourse, you can add your website links in your Bio. My initial test results gave me good traffic from Quora (relevant ones). I am doubling down my efforts with Quora.
