Hey Indie Hackers 👋
A few months ago, I was deep in the grind building HugeLeap, my AI recruiting automation startup. We had just hit $5K MRR, which felt amazing — but my workflow was a mess. Ideas, notes, tasks, and goals were scattered everywhere. I’d brainstorm on ChatGPT, jot things in Notion, and still forget half of what I planned to do.
I realized the problem wasn’t a lack of ideas — it was turning ideas into action.
So one night, I started hacking on a small side project for myself — something that could chat with me like an assistant, understand what I wanted to accomplish, and automatically create a plan.
That project became Zeno 🧠
At first, it was simple: I’d chat with it about my goals, and it would generate a daily plan. But over time, it grew into a fully-featured AI productivity co-pilot:
Goal to Task Conversion: Breaks long-term goals into daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
Habit & Progress Tracking: Helps you build routines that stick and visualizes progress
Daily Check-Ins: Adjusts plans dynamically based on what you accomplish
Note & Idea Keeper: Keeps everything in one place across devices
Context-Aware Memory: Remembers past conversations, goals, and tasks so nothing gets lost
Zeno isn’t just another to-do app. It’s a thinking partner — an AI that helps you plan smarter, act faster, and stay consistent.
I’m open-sourcing Zeno because I want feedback from makers, developers, and founders like you. I want to know: does this solve a real problem? What’s missing? How could it be better?

I’m excited to build Zeno in public and share every insight, iteration, and feature along the way. If you’ve ever had great ideas but struggled to turn them into action, I’d love your feedback 🙏
This is super relatable, the ideas to action problem is real. i've had like 20 half-finished notion docs floating around myself... love that you're open sourcing it, gonna check out the github repo. curious how the context-aware memory works under the hood? good luck with the launch!
Brilliant mind, keep it up mate
This truly speaks to me, Viraj. And many of us in the indie hacker community can attest to that disconnect between ideation and action, it's seldom a matter of not having ideas enough, but of organizing them into coherent, meaningful progress. That it was born from your own frustration makes it seem rooted and truly practical, rather than another trend-chasing productivity app.
I love the direction of combining context-aware planning with conversational interaction, that's the exact type of "assistant-like" dynamic that standard task managers lack. The open-source strategy is also a good one it allows for genuine community-driven evolution rather than working in a vacuum.
I’ll definitely check out Zeno and share some feedback. Curious to see how it handles goal adaptation over time (like when priorities shift). Congrats on taking this from a personal fix to a tool that could help a lot of makers turn momentum into measurable action
