How can a SaaS business owner identify the best tools for their company?

SaaS business owners are always looking for ways to grow their business and save time. They want to make sure they're making the most of their resources and that they're spending money wisely.

So how do you know if you're using the right tools for your business?

This is where it's important to have a clear understanding of what you want your company to accomplish, as well as a sense of how much time each task will take up in relation to its importance. Then, once you know what needs to get done and by when, it's time to figure out which tools will help bring those tasks into reality—and which ones aren't worth the effort.

As simple as: Experiment. You want to organize data? Use Notepad. Hmm, doesn't help much. Use Excel. Hmm, chaos. Use something else. Etc.

I can imagine a business owner asking someone, that someone searching a bit online, and ending up finding a few that matches their query. Quick tests, then a suggestion.

Or, asking other business owners, and then experimenting with their own suggestions.

So this is the workflow if you want a visualization ;)

Business realizes some need => Asks someone => Searches on Google => Search Results => Suggestion => Try => Experiment => Cry => Repeat

    Edit: expanded epic workflow visualization
