How can I fix same day install and uninstall problem?

I've developed a Shopify App for SEO. There are some paid users but I don't know why the same day install and uninstall rate is high.

Some users just install and uninstall, install and uninstall again within a short time (few minutes to few hours). I don't know which part introduces this friction.

When I email them to follow up, these users just ignore it. Maybe they are feeling disconnected from my App.

How can I fix the problem?

Do you have a good overview/intro on what it can/can't do? My (uninformed) guess is that people can't tell if it will exactly meet their needs. Best way to see is to just try it out. Alternatively, maybe the setup is challenging and people are confused and give up easily.

Yes, I think. But users understanding of SEO is very different ours. There is a huge gap between our understanding. I find users by addressing related threads on Shopify community.

The set up is challenging indeed. Because we need to change some coding in the theme of a store, which is different and hard to automate the process. We try to install for users but there is a friction point that I can't eliminate .

Do you track engagement within the app? You could break it down to smaller actions to see how the users interact with the app and which actions they complete. Then take it step by step, try to make users more engaged. Maybe you'll see a pattern that the users that pay, complete some actions that the users that uninstall don't.

How about the first screen users see when they open the app? Is it easy to understand what to do first to start getting value from it?

I was using Hotjar a year ago but I was focusing on usability problems. And now I switch to Mouseflow coz Hotjar is a bit expensive for me.

You're right. May be the paid users have a usage pattern that I am not aware of.

We've set up an interactive guide at the beginning after entering this home page. But many users will just skip it. The onboarding flow may need slight improvement

The only pattern I found for paid users is that paid users are very separate from free users. When they paid, they will select paid plan at first.

It's the same for free users. There are only small numbers of users who prefer to try it free and upgrade. I dunno. It's kinda strange.
