How can I grow my podcast & get more reviews?

Hey hackers,

Each week I sit down with an Irish entrepreneur and share their story. It's an interview-style chat, very informal and duration is around 60 mins.

It's been growing slowly organically so far. According to the Libsyn, it has 17,679 listens/downloads and that is spread across the 33 episodes I've done so far.

I'd love some insights from fellow hackers as to how I should now be growing listenership.

So far, I've relied on my own social networks, and the guest's network to share the episode. I produce social media assets for each episode and share them across my Instagram/LinkedIn and Twitter.

It's distributed across all usual channels, iTunes, Spotify, etc.

Would love to hear what tips people have to reach new audiences and should I be focused on getting more iTunes reviews to get up the charts?

This isn't a post to plug the show so I'll just put a link here for reference only so people can give a better insight.

Are you taking some shorts of good nuggets and posting to YouTube or other platforms with tantalaizing click bait titles plus optimising for meta tags to target market?

The lad that edits for me produced two short clips from each episode and I post them to Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. I think I need to produce far more clips..

I've no experience on the optimising the meta tags? What is best way to do this?

      Thanks for commenting.

Find out what keywords the target market is most likely to search for. Try Google Keyword Tool, or else check competitors.

Interested in others thoughts here as well for @tilikang and my podcast (Startup to Last).

One thing we struggle with is not wanting to be "IN YOUR FACE ANNOYING". We also have limited time to invest in promotion.

It's a balance that I am trying to find. At the moment, I am falling short.

I need to find a better way to repackage my content so people can listen to smaller segments that might hook them into the series or an episode.
