How can I have my startup be organized in this remote work?

Hey there,

thank you for clicking on this. Yes, I have my Lil saas startup with 10 full-time remote working employees. It seems like we are not working on our full strength, not meeting the weekly goals, and many other things. No doubt that we are running without processes, ad hoc to be honest. That's creating these issues and this all is very exhausting.

I have tried the whole daily standup calls, being organized using notion as our wiki. But still feels things are not the way they should be, it's hard to make employees have documentation in place to be more organized.

Would be great if someone can provide some tips and tricks or tools on how to run it more effectively.

Many thanks.

    1. Prioritize your goals for the week
    2. Assign tasks that can be completed in this week
    3. Measure those tasks at the end of the week
    4. If things, aren't done, understand the why.

These simple 4 steps could help you to build a repeatable accountability process that helps give your company some structure.

    Standup calls
    Notion

    These are tools and procedures.

However, it is usually not about these but how well your people work together.

How often do you fail to achieve your goals, and have you identified the root cause?

How often would you meet one-on-one with your team to help them understand their desires and obstacles?

I use Notion for my team. I have lots of documentation but two main tables; documentation how-tos and team responsibilities. Each table is broken out basically into team members' individual areas.

I'm a huge automation and systems-thinker so I have everything automated I can. If I can't automate, I have a documented system for the task.

      Hey @adbertram
      Thank you
Interesting stuff you have. Can you help me out with what kind of automation you are doing and how? Would love to talk with you on that part.

I run a blog with many writers. I have Notion, Trello, AirTable and WordPress all working together using Zapier to automate all kinds of little tasks.
