My name is James and I currently work as a product designer at the social media platform Buffer and previously at the music platform SoundCloud. Though I enjoy my work, I'm a maker at heart! I went from a senior role in front-end development and now to this senior role in design and though that's been great for my career, it's also great to make things!
But I'm here really to say hello and introduce myself to the group. And I'm wondering, really, how can I help?

I'm building a messaging app for teams that keeps the information organized. Like a well-organized Slack.
Last week, I launched my first MVP. Even if the product is shamefully basic, I tried to do a nice landing to validate if there is a need and if it's a good idea. The first iteration didn't go as expected: from 120 views on IH, 40 visited the link, and only 1 registered.
Then, I decided to make it more attractive and show better the product (through Figma mockups, with my very basic UI knowledge).

Marc here in the San Francisco bay area, working days in Special Education (mostly autism) for the local school district...but I'm also an artist, musician, and inventor.
My project is a Music/Mindfulness, Guided Breathing, Stress-Relief idea for a mobile or desktop App. It's based on my abstract minimalism artwork (https://www.instagram.com/life_lines_art/), which is completely proprietary.
Breathe along to the animated images, select music from an elaborate international music database (soundcloud?)...to bring oxygenation and wellness, and enhanced creativity and productivity.
Deep breathing helps treat COPD, Diabetes, Hypertension, PAD, High Blood Pressure and more. There are also plenty of studies confirming that soothing music reduces stress, and thus stress related illnesses like the ones just mentioned. Perfect timing in these Covid times.
It's outside many people's comfort zone, to view and access abstract art and breatwork, which is one of the reasons that there is so much potential on the other side.
I have a neuroscientist with great experience from Stanford University on board, and am building an MVP team (tech, mktg, etc.) to present and sell it to an existing Meditation App Co. (Calm, Headspace, etc.)...or to produce it myself.

Do you think Souncloud is adventurous enough to venture into the Meditation App arena? Could their company culture view music as medicine?
