How can I set up a referral system with Stripe?

I'm using Stripe for payment processing, and my cofounder and I want to create a referral system in which a user gets a free month of leerly for every customer that signs up with their unique referral code.

Ideally, this could be automated with the Stripe API somehow, but honestly we'd be fine manually doing it at the start if there is a way to stack up free months for a customer's subscription in the Stripe dashboard.

Has anyone does something like this before?

You can give a try to FirstPromoter. We have a special reward type for this called "free months".

Yep I've done something similar with Stripe and Firebase. Just requires a bit of programming logic. Rewardful could be the easier choice

Take a look at Rewardful. You can use our Commissions API to automate credits on their account.

Oh damn, I've just barely taken a look at your site but this looks perfect.

Rewardful looks nice but that pricing structure isn't great until you have a decent amount of MRR. Too expensive to start with IMO.
