How can indie hackers help in the Ukraine crisis?
I really feel bad for what's going on in Ukraine. Living thousands of miles away, I feel helpless knowing that I cannot do anything but sit out there and watch.
If I had a military experience, I'd seriously consider joining their military ranks there. But I'm an indie hacker. I know some coding. I know how to market. I know software.
How can we indie hackers help fellow Ukrainians in these trying times?

If you want to use your marketing skills, help spread the message of peace. Help Russians see what's actually happening in Ukraine.
People from both countries are suffering from this war and we need to spread the message of peace.
I'm buying media banners on small blogs with Russian traffic to do that.
You can do that too or figure out your own ways.
This is a question that's on my mind as well. In the ad world, I saw a crowdfunding campaign where they collected ad funds and planned to run ads to the Russian population to make them more aware of what's going on.

I don't just want to donate. I want to use my unique skills and DO something with my time and unique expertise. There must be something that can be done...
That's great, but the reality is also that what helps most currently is just cash, military equipment, shelter for refugees and diplomatic negotiations. At least as far as I have read (I'm not in Ukraine or Ukrainian).
I find it hard to believe it myself, but my city has become a war zone. there are not enough elementary things, but we do not stoop to looting. we are much more civilized than the Russians who rob our stores
I'm so sorry to hear that, it's heartbreaking and I can't even begin to imagine how this must feel like. I can only wish you strength and hope that peace returns soon.
