I'm having a hard time understanding people who think of wearing masks as a political issue...🤨
Any ideas on how we can encourage people to wear masks?
I'm thinking Instagram posts or email newsletter COVID scientific facts?
Also, I'm tying a copper-infused reusable mask brand to this so people can purchase a mask. https://www.get-bazinga.com/
Any feedback, ideas will be greatly appreciated!
Tell them there is a secret medicine that reduces the risk of COVID-19 by 90%. Once he is bagging you to tell you what it is called hand them a mask ;)
And for your website: The overlay effects of the text makes it sometimes hard to read and it feels "jumpy" for a long time only very small change and then suddenly the text shoots up. Also the text font could use more spread, the letters are very close together.
Regarding the product: it feels kinda late to me, you dont tell why your mask is a lot better then others on the market and "coming soon" is kinda a downer. Why not starting to sell it and if someone orders just send an email with "High demand.... problems with shipping... do you want your money back or get the shipping in x-weeks" so you can test if people are interested in buying.
I like your fake test selling idea! It makes a lot of sense. Definitely going to try it.
I'm from the UK and from the outside I think the main problem the US is having with getting people to wear masks is it's been made into a political issue.
For the people who don't want to wear a mask they are not thinking of it as a measure to save lives. They are thinking of it as a ideological / political statement.
I'm not sure how you convince them it's not about a political stance and all about saving lives though.
Yes, it is a little absurd how wearing a mask has become an ideological / political statement.
It's irresponsible to simply say "wear a mask".
There are times where wearing a mask is considerate, other times when it can be practical, and there are times when wearing a mask is unnecessary altogether.
Also, simply stating that wearing a mask "saves lives" is an ideological statement at it's core, and when it's coupled with selling merch, it's opportunistic.
I'm not suggesting that what you're trying to do is either opportunistic or ideological . I'm just suggesting that making wide-sweeping blanket statements doesn't help anyone.
If you want to sell copper-infused washable face masks and hand sanitizer, I think that's great -- but you're a bit late to the game. Washable face masks are everywhere now.
As for the website, it feels a bit gimmicky to me, IMO. The stock photo of a mask looks unconvincing, and the rest of the website feels unserious, hard to read, and UX is not great with some of the scroll text effects.
Thanks for your feedback. This is my first time doing an e-commerce side project and I have a lot to learn. I tried to mimic some part of Apple website's experience but I agree that it is hard to read. On the other hand, making it feel unserious was my brand intention(if that is what you are referring to..). I think people can use some "unseriousness" these day.
Totally agree :)
Follow your gut, and make whatever changes you feel make sense!
