How can we leverage Instagram as bloggers?

I am wondering how we can leverage Instagram to share a blog and engage with the audience. For example, I am a technical blogger and sharing my blog content across Medium and other developer communities.

But I don't know how to leverage Instagram. Is it a completely different game?. As a blogger, does anyone uses Instagram as a distribution channel?
