How can we make the discovery phase of an MVP easier for you?
So, as everyone in here is building great products, I was wondering how long you spend researching new ideas, features, competitors, your market, crazy deals, etc...
I am creating a notion workspace that could act as a place to start your research. However, I want to add information that indie hackers like you would normally look for.
So if you have an idea on what to add that will help you and others in the discovery phase, or maybe some information that you had a hard time searching for drop it down in a comment, and I will make sure to add it and share it with each one of you once the notion page is ready.

One of the newer channels that really helped to validate the idea and bring in 80% of our signups was posting on Polywork.
I really like Polywork as a newer channel for idea validation and customer/user acquisition if your target audience is in the tech/startup industry.
I also think highlighting Reddit or community focused marketing strategies would be great as these channels are becoming more important for engaging with people online.

It has tremendous potential to be the starting for brand and competitor research, especially with filtering.
And yes, started seeing a lot of indie hackers expressing an interest in community-based marketing. So a good point that you brought it up.
A good starting point would be to gather stories/posts/articles of other indie hackers who've done it so others can read them based on the platform they are planning to use or the approach that fits them.

I just found that site the other week and it'll be one of the main outbound links that the brand pages have!
We're aggregating minor data from a few different categories of websites while making sure to link out to them to help with SEO (testing for this over time [3-6 months]).
