How ChatGPT solved my Domain-Ending problem

Referring to my last post, I started building a marketplace for SaaS founders to sell their subscriptions instead of Lifetime Deals, which are not sustainable and break the industry.

Think AppSumo for Subscriptions.

But thinking about a name that ultimately leads to searching for a free .com domain made me bitter and angry about this whole domain-blocking circus. I found a domain with no content that is being offered for 4.600.000 USD! This is just pure insanity! Check flux .com, and NO, I am not willing to send them any free traffic through a backlink here!

Anyway, so the image tells the whole story, as I was clear about the name. Still, I wanted something that appeals to membership sites and/or video content, as I am planning several content formats for social media. So I was undecided about .tv and .vip as all other domain endings were already blocked. Of course, I checked if there was some critical content or blocked sites for this when people will start looking for the .com or more popular domains later.

So I already know and am well aware of the fact that going for a more exotic domain ending will definitely cut into my organic search traffic when starting out, as people are not likely to find the site at first when they do not realize the ending is "special."

So I asked ChatGPT which domain ending would give me the best benefits, and you can see the exact prompts and answers I received in the image above. I think this was a logical and insightful answer that helped solve my problem.

What do you think about a .vip domain ending in this context?
