How checking your email can make you more productive?

Hello IH!

Here's my idea.

You get an hourly email sent to you, and the subject line would be, for example, "9-10AM March 26" and the body of the email would say "What did you get done in the last hour, reply back to this email and we will add it to your daily worksheet."

Once you reply back to the email, my web-app will take the content of the email and add it to a table:

9AM-10AM: did some stuff
10AM-11AM: did some more stuff
...
4PM-5PM: did some other stuff and ended my work day

And at the end of your day, which you set (eg. 5 PM), you get your daily summary.

The problem I'm trying to solve is not getting lost in busy work and focusing on what you did to move the needle forward.

This is just a high-level overview and the full web-app will be a lot more cuztomizable, such as do you want to be notified every hour or 2 hours.

Let me know what you guys think and if this sounds cool, let me know and I can add you to the pre-launch list.

    Hey @Silverback23 sounds positive.

    Any prototype being built already?

Just a simple one with Zapier that I use for myself. I’m still in the idea validation phase before I invest in building the webapp.

Please add me as well! Love the idea and was thinking of trying to do something similar myself!

One thing to think about - It might be easier to interact with if it was via sms or something along those lines. Obviously, there are merits to using both but email definitely a good place to start.

Thanks so much!! Text is a great idea, but to make a MVP, I’ll start with email! I checked out your profile and couldn’t find your email. My email is in my profile, send me a message and I’ll be happy to add you!

Thanks again and stay safe during these odd times!!

Likewise! It's a weird time but also a great time to learn new skills and scheme on side projects. Let me know if you want to brainstorm any related ideas/are looking for feedback!
