How Codecademy went from hype to the brink of bankruptcy

    I taught myself how to code using Codecademy, and the journey eventually led to me helping to build and grow Indie Hackers.

    So for me it's a profound revelation that Codecademy spent the first half of its life violating all of the principles of sustainable business that I now teach for a living:

    I remember learning HTML, CSS from Codecademy and it was such a breezy process with interactive tutorials. Never realized they are slowly going off the hill.
