I've seen sites like hotjar that have:
https://www.hotjar.com
https://help.hotjar.com
https://insights.hotjar.com
Could you achieve those 3 websites in 1 Vuejs app? Or are they 3 different repositories/deployments.
I'm about to develop a billing dashboard for my current users (Winforms App), but I wouldn't like to develop all 3 of them, also I don't like very much xyz.com for the landing page, xyz.com/help for the docs and xyz.com/app for the app itself.
Sounds like a lot of extra work for little gain, unless your users/customers gain from having it all on one domain I would split the app and the marketing site.
Ideally the docs would actually be on the marketing site domain for a boost in SEO.
So the best path right now is to start working on the app.xyz.com and when it's finished, start working on the marketing/docs website (xyz.com) that redirects to app.xyz?
Yeah, ideally you want a very simple marketing site to start collecting emails.
You don't need to start emailing them but a way to collect them is essential and something I wish I had done.
:o what do you mean by you wish you had done it earlier? Essential for when the product is polished and mass-email them?
Ideally you want a list to email them for feedback, get beta users and finally paying customers.
no matter how you spin it, this will take some extra work outside of vue
one way is to set up an nginx server and configure locations so that you proxy the different subdomains to routes of your app
i.e. docs.yourapp.com proxies to yourapp.com/docs but the viewer doesn't see it
you'd have to handle any ssl certificates too
anyways, it's totally possible to do it with 1 vue app but not through vue
I guess you can't do that: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/41654181/vue-js-vue-router-subdomains
