How could this be better?

This is our current landing page, any feedback on how it could be more effective in getting people to sign up for our waitlist?: https://www.getmesa.co/

I read your landing page. I have no idea why a user would use your app. What problem are you actually solving? If I want to talk to someone, I can get a hold of them.

Looks nice, great design, but very confused.

Super valuable, we just changed the whole idea of "talk to your network" since you're right, "talking" to who you know is not a novel idea :P

Great job using social proof — “N people are waiting in line”

I didn’t understand who it was for until I reached the bottom of the page.

Curiosity kept me scrolling but I was confused until I reread the benefits and saw “for the highly connected entrepreneur”

I thought personal CRM. Will your ideal user have enough context to make this connection?

Dude, this is great feedback, you're right that the "who is it for" should be higher! Re: personal CRM connection, probably not yet, but I also want to wait a bit until officially labeling it that, since the assumptions that people have about that whole space are pretty unhelpful and inaccurate for what we're trying to build... Do you think we should go ahead and just name it a personal CRM?

I understand your hesitation to using a loaded term. Especially if you’re trying to do something different.

I’d only feel compelled to add 'Personal CRM' if my prospects had a hard time understanding what we did. In that case, I would add an anchor or entry point that tied the product to something they were already familiar with. I think this is why companies often say we're "Uber for X" or "Superhuman for Y"

You’re getting waitlist signups without tying yourself to that label, so it might be fine.

Yeah, I feel the same way, still trying to understand exactly who are users are (other than us founders!). So we're still quite open to the possibility that we have to change how to communicate it depending on the response we start getting... Thanks a lot for your thoughts!

I kind of understand what it does. But what is it? Explain what it is.

    1. 1

Sure! It's a personal CRM, optimized for quickly organizing and talking with your connections, all from one place. Is that clearer?

      1. 1

        Yes, that's clearer.

You should probably put that somewhere on the site, understood more from that than the entire landing page.

Hey Carlos, nice job on the landing page. Some feedback:

    • Similar to some of the other comments- It wasn't immediately clear what Mesa is or helps me with exactly. Quite honestly, I still don't think I fully get it. I'd recommend using very simple and plain language to explain the problem and value props

    • On your /checkout page, the footer seems to be in the middle of the page rather than at the bottom. It might also be helpful to add a link on this page to return to the home page.

Perry, thanks a lot for your feedback, man. Any chance you can give it another look? I took this to heart and tried to make it a bit clearer...
Oh, and will fix the footer thing, thanks for noticing that!

That first big picture in particular drew my eye immediately, but it actually took me a little while to understand what it actually was. Once I scrolled down I got it though.

Thanks a lot! What do you think would have helped to make it clearer faster? Anything in the copy that wasn't too helpful?

    What does your software do?

Do you want me to skip the line or leave an email?

    1. 1

Transform any list of contacts into easy-to-flip-through cards that you can organize and talk to in only a couple of key strokes, saving tons of time that people with large networks tend to spend scrolling, messaging, having calls or meetings, etc.

Leave an email is the most important thing, so it's optimized for that. I'm not too optimistic that people are willing to pay upfront before they know more about it, BUT, if there's even one person that's willing to pay and be an early user, that's the most valuable feedback we can get. What do you think of that approach?
