How crazy is it that Monday mornings are my favorite day and time of the week?

“I was talking to my wife the other day and I was like, ’How crazy is it that Monday mornings are my favorite day and time of the week?” For most people it’s the worst. It’s a nightmare because you have to go to a job you hate. And I understand that. After getting my degree, I went to work as a macroeconomist. But there was too much bureaucracy. I wanted to try new things but I felt like I was always asking for permission from my boss and rarely getting the go-ahead. So, after one year, exactly, I gave my resignation letter and I decided to focus on my websites. The VP of the company said he’d take me under his wing if I stayed, and that I would move up. But I decided to leave anyway, and I have never regretted it. I certainly do have my share of frustrations and I’m not at the point financially that I thought I’d be at 10 years ago. But one thing is for sure — I’m still in the game. And my outcomes are still linked entirely to my own efforts. That excites me. That and the freedom I have. You cannot put a price tag on that.”
