How credible does my site look?

Hi Indie Hackers community :)

Recently I built VCvsME.com. I had a friend who suggested the website didn't appear credible, I did some tweaks and now there's a new version. I was hoping to get some feedback. Does the app landing page make sense and appear credible? Does the website look credible enough not to raise any red flags?

What the app is, is a pitch deck database for entrepreneurs and networking website. It's free. Given that there's so many scams targeting startups, and also people overpromising, I definitely don't want to get lumped into the bad category.

    Super honest and straight forward:
    It seems like there is no structure at all.

    • The navbar is not on one line. About and contact are below the sign up button.
    • The header is a mess, everything mixed, no structure, spacing does not fit.
    • Content is also very messy - positioning, styling etc.
    • The footer is also not very centered

    I would redo the whole page, start to make a wireframe as you like it. Look for the competition how they styled and layout their site. Use it as inspiration but make it better.
