How did Discord become better and more popular than Slack?
I see a lot of people every day using discord as business channel and it is far easier to use. Do you know anything that Discord did better or different than Slack to achieve this?

A few people are answering your detailed question in the description, but just to be clear, since the title of your post is "How did Discord become better and more popular than Slack?", there would be vastly more businesses using Slack than Discord :) ... Discord may or may not have more users overall (who knows! Might be able to find out online) but it's of course a different audience; only a small minority of Discord users would use Discord for business, and only a minority of Slack users would use Slack for gaming.
Simplicity of use. In discord you need only to login to make calls. In slack you should create environment and invite users to start conversation.

Discord is a lot easier to get started with.
It won the gamer market with basically 1-click voice chats; just drop a link and the voice chat just works. Gamers bleeds through to a lot of other industries.
They have an excellent high quality voice channel feature. It also seems faster.
Fun fact: it's written with Elixir. It is an excellent application of Elixir, and this may be where they are winning.
