Dorik - From the word Doric - one of the three orders of ancient Greek and later Roman architecture. We used Dorik instead of Doric because it's easy to pronounce and .com was on sale for an affordable price. 😁

I don't often talk about the origin of my newsletter name.

I wanted a .com domain and a free Twitter handle (although I haven't used it) so I thought about a few ideas and finally settled on BrainPint.com

It is supposed to be a refreshing newsletter, just like a pint of beer for your mind. Since it's about interesting things, learning resources and tools, it seemed fitting.

Product Names - Noticed it was available on Twitter, like that it’s simple and clear. Turned it into a side project sharing available twitter handles. https://twitter.com/productnames

"type" for typing text and we as a writing assistant "wipe" your typing clean / optimize it (hope it makes sense) and I like names which kinda rhyme or go of the tongue smoothly

Naming is tough because there is normally an emotional component associated with it. In our case, we started as Utoptics, the U coming from Utrecht, the city where it all started, and optics because that is what we do. However, one of our partners registered the wrong name, using Utopics. The consensus afterwards was that dropping the extra t made it easier to pronounce. However, the domain was not available. Some other people involved in the project also agreed that Utoptics was not too good of a name, so we had to start over.

We brainstormed a lot and made a gigantic list of possibilities. Mostly, combining words that describe what we do. The core principles were: not too many syllables (below 4), easy to pronounce in English by non-native speakers (like myself), hence no need to spell it, and of course the domain should be available, and there shouldn't be a company registered with an overlapping name.

So, we were 4 people involved. Each one picked 4 names from the gigantic list. Then, each one had 3 votes: high-medium-low, the high amounted to 3 times the low vote. With this we built a ranking, and iterated. We removed the lower half of the names and repeated, until we had only one name. Now, we are called Dispertech.

CrowdProducers.com - my platform name came out logically from my passion for crowdsourcing resources while building a product. Within many years I helped my customers and I used myself others' people resources for free by offering them better deals on their own projects' needs. To produce your product with the crowdsourced resources you need crowdproducers.

Bull vs Bear was a big conversation after Bitcoin hit all time high and started falling back.
We wanted to tell people that we take care of tax headache and we are bearish on taxes (minimize the taxes with optimal calculation) - so went with BearTax

• Well it has been called Colors & Fonts Discover, but the name did not really matched with the what I am actually featuring on the site.
  A full stack developer or designer is called a Unicorn and then when they are reading my newsletter, is like a feed..

Honestly, I just wanted to have a .com domain, put down a set of names, looked for what's available and then chose www.frontfigure.com (site is still under construction by the way)
