How did you come up with your business idea?
I have been thinking about starting a new business or making a new product, but I can't seem to come up with any ideas. There seems to be an infinite amount of job availability for developers, and skills are always in demand, yet it's hard to identify anything that one can build a product around. How did you come up with your business idea?
How did I come up with business ideas:
1 - find a successful solo founder's idea that I like and modify it enough to not compete with him.
2 - tackle an issue that I have encountered.
3 - if I already have an audience in a niche market, search which services I can offer to this audience.

I think it's important to take that market planning in consideration though. Previously, I'd jump in random ideas and then it goes nowhere.
