How did you get past the “interested but not committing” phase?

I’m building a Notion-native ecommerce platform, and I’m at a familiar but tricky stage.

I’ve had a steady stream of people who seem genuinely interested. They understand what it does, ask thoughtful questions, and a few have even gone deep enough to comment on the product quality and UI. One early user told me it reminded them of MacPaw-level polish and that they didn’t even need onboarding cues.

So I don’t think this is a “the product isn’t good enough” problem.

What I’m struggling with is the commitment hurdle. Asking someone to build out an entire store, or switch from an existing setup is a big decision. Even when people like the product, there’s a lot of inertia and risk in starting or moving.

For those of you who’ve been through this stage:

What actually helped people cross that line from interest to commitment?

Was it narrowing the use case, a more guided setup, 1:1 onboarding, pricing structure, or something else entirely?

And how did you personally interpret the silence or ghosting without overreacting or rebuilding the wrong things?
