How did you get your first 1000 subscribers

I am really struggling right now. Would love some help
I still don't, but it's growing slowly. I wrote every week and consistently during the last months, got around 25 posts and 250 subs now.

Ways they grew -
1.Pay for sponsored slots in other newsletters.
2. LinkedIn
3. Asking people directly.
4. Instagram
5. Post on other platforms: Quora, Reddit, Hackernews etc
That's a lot of issues man...I have written 5. Have to start marketing for real and it seems like asking people directly is a good way to grow. Also should start publishing content that can be chopped up for HN and reddit. It's a lot of work isn't it
Yes totally. You should only try to start a newsletter if you really love it, or you see a huge opportunity you are willing to work for.
