How did you get your product designed?

Hi folks,

Jim here from Jim Designs.

I'm genuinely interested in how people are getting their products (SaaS, app..) designed these days.

I feel like most of the options out there suck:

• Doing it yourself: cheap but unless you're good at design, the result will be pretty ugly which won't help your product take off.

• Hiring on Upwork: feels like rolling the dice from what I mostly hear.

• Working with an agency: expensive.

• Hiring a full-time designer: surprisingly hard to hire a great product designer + hard to attract + you don't really need someone full-time (too expensive + not enough work).

Am I missing something?
