Just what the title says. Hoping to hear stories about when you left your full time to fully dedicate to your project.
Lately, just been feeling some type of way (hopefully you can relate).
Since I'm a rational person, for me, it's kinda simple. It's when you gain more value in your project than in your full-time job.
The value can be a sum of several things like money, happiness, fulfillment, etc. Nevertheless, money is important since we have to pay our expenses. I think you can monetize your project and surpass your break-even rate (monthly income cover your expenses) you should invest 100% in your project.
I like that formula! Just waiting for the day :)
if (indie.money > job.money) {
leaveJob()
}
😂
For me, it was about learning and growth. I felt that I would learn and grow more, both professionally and personally, by taking the leap and focusing 100% of my time on my project(s) than staying at my current role or finding a similar role at new company.
Mm yeah. That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing!
