How did you learn web app development?

I have background in programming (IOS developer), but I have an idea that I would like to pursue which requires web app development knowledge.
I would actually need to start crafting an MVP, and so I really want to know how to start and what are some good places to learn from.
Can you share some resources/advice about how did you manage to learn?
