How did your Product Hunt launch go?

I’ve been part of PH community for a while now and I see some great products launch every month.

But how effective it is as a community?

Do you actually see some substantial results from PH launch?

I’ve spoke to some founders who had no 1 and 2 products of the day but the launch didn’t make a difference in their revenues or the users signups did not see a significant increase?

Is PH launch purely done to increase authority to just place a widget on the Landing pages and some organic traffic? Or am I completely wrong?

I’m eager to know your PH launch story and the results from it.
