How Do I Attract Relevant Users?

Ok, how do you make a project succeed?

So far, after more than a week, I’ve relied on Indie Hackers to bring in traffic. The result: 54 visitors, a few users who tried generating their portfolio, and only one who completed it fully.

The goal of the project is to remove a complicated step in the job search process: creating a portfolio. The problem is figuring out how to find interested users. I don’t want to rely on a buzz effect, but rather on a repeatable method that consistently brings in the right people.
