How do I become a UI/UX designer?

Please Give Me Some Useful Tips.
UI and UX are two different fields. Learning tools is easy, building a mindset and knowing about why things work is the hard part.
I am a member of IDF. It is a good starting point for UI/UX and is affordable. Most other good courses are way too expensive.
Behance and Dribble can serve as inspiration in this field.
IDF sounds like a neat resource to learn UX Design.
What have you learned so far that makes it a great resource?
I'm new to UI/UX and have been running loose with Figma to prototype a concept, it's been a ton of fun, but there have been moments where it just doesn't "feel" right.
My way of following UX patterns is by looking at the software I look up to. And of course perusing sites like Dribble and Uplabs for inspiration
like most of the people in this community, I love digital products. I am a pm by profession, and use to observe all these products/UX interactions in great detail. Still, I don't have formal education in UX and design.
My quest to learn from IDF is mostly around why certain things work a certain way. So mostly I am picking basic courses or very specific ones like "Psychology of E-commerce". Good to know the whole science of why people trust certain products, what makes them simple, how to solve problems in the right way etc. etc.
For sure! That’s true, there’s definitely science behind why users gravitate to certain products.
Thanks for sharing your goals. I think that’s worth pursuing myself as I’m learning the general skills of a designer. So much to learn, but my main goal is getting an MVP version out the door! So there’s a balance as an indie hacker
