Hi, I'm running a SaaS tool that enables therapists to do a certain type of trauma therapy (EMDR). It's doing pretty well and I'm growing around 15% in MRR each month.
20% of my traffic is coming from Google (most is direct) and I've been told that if you get a lot of traffic from Google, it's often worth it to do paid search ads as well. The problem is: I have zero experience with this. I found a lot of material on the web, but those are mostly for e-commerce or for big companies that are not profitable, very little indie hackers. I think that SaaS is very different because the LTV is quite high (for me it's $180) and in my case I can't spend more than I make each month.
What's the best way to get started here? Any other tips?
Another thing: Becuase my company is dealing with medical data, I can't use any tracker like Google Analytics. I'm now using the privacy friendly Simple Analytics. Is it possible to advertise on Google without their tracker?
The tool is called https://cloudemdr.com
Thanks :)
There are many trackers you can self host, what matters is that you can setup a funnel you understand on how users from ad 1,998 conversion process looks x% for step 1, y% for step 2, average package z$, and average lifetime
You probably are limited at tracking your user's users not yours I'm guessing but 🤷or are you getting them customers and collect a commission? Like affiliate..
Anyways, start small, put a $ daily limit, make many small experiments
You can use competitors research with 3rd parties like semrush, ahrefs..
Do keyword research in Google ads tools and with 3rd parties...
Thank you! this is great advice. I wouldn't do affiliate marketing, but setting a daily limit makes a lot of sense.
I guess it is your choice to track conversation, so it is safe to use Google Ads (but best contact Google Ads)
Do you can use this EMDR even is you have no trauma, or has it then no menthal benefits?
Thanks for explaining.
EMDR is used to treat other conditions than trauma as well, but I don't think it's helpful in an unsupervised environment. You need a therapist to guide you through it.
