How do I grow Twitter followers?

Hey all!

Looking for some tips on growing our Twitter followers here.

We've been running our Twitter account for the past 3 months, but we haven't seen much growth in terms of followers.

We've been consistently creating content, including productivity hacks, product updates, and engaging stories.

We take pride in maintaining high-quality standards, which means we craft each image ourselves (although it can be quite challenging for our small team).

We've come across a lot of success stories on the internet where people have grown their follower count by thousands in just a few weeks, but we understand that those strategies may not necessarily work for us.

Please take a look at our Twitter account and offer some advice.

If interested, feel free to check out our product here as well.

Thank you in advance for your insights.

Find people similar to your target audience and engage with them. Mix your tweets between personal tweets, educational tweets, and growth tweets. Repeat until successful.

I'm a starter on Twitter so I don't know much but I know this works.

Couldn’t agree more here; some of my favorite products I discovered because they replied to one of my tweets dealing with a problem!

    2. 3

Engaging with others is the best advice by far.

Thank you! This was very helpful, and I wish you all the luck :)

Actually, I have a better idea... I call this the Twin Brother Strategy. Like, do ever seen two brothers fight over something in public? Maybe it's about food or something else. But the point is they get a lot of eyes on their topic and some will get their perspective and some will just judge and move on.

This strategy is something like that. You need to find a friend on Twitter and basically just create threads and talk about it from two perspectives. for example, if you like dogs, talk about the daily funny things they do and things you hate.

This way you can get a lot of eyes, some will engage and share their perspectives. Primarily, help you grow.

Haha, that's actually pretty interesting! You're right, people naturally love getting in on the action, so this strategy should definitely work! Thanks for the suggestion!

It seems like all your tweets are about your product. That seems useful once you have a brand following, but until then I wouldn't expect many people to pay much attention.

I would try focusing on providing value to your audience in ways that aren't specifically tied to your tool.

    Provide value, gain trust.

Reduce the product tweets to 1 in 10 for a while.

As someone who's also trying to grow my personal brand on Twitter more, I learned a pretty good lesson in the last couple days, and I think the same applies to growing a non-personal brand:

A lot of people just say post every day. To be consistent. That is important too, but it's when you provide real value that people notice. There's a lot of noise to break through on Twitter. I was posting on and off for months with hardly any gains.

Then I posted this thread a couple days ago about my path from $0 - $38k MRR and people found it super valuable and inspiring and I about doubled my followers over night.

TL;DR: This early on especially, focus on provide real value and less talk about your product.

Make a lot of sense! I've often wondered before that if my brand audience is already small, it's difficult to resonate with brand-related tweets. But I couldn't find a breakthrough.

Your advice is really helpful! Providing value is truly the most important thing!

i am new as well however one thing i have learned about twitter is that twitter does not works for new brands. Generally people have their own audience and they create product specific account for product related information. Actual traffic comes from their personal accounts. So may be have a personal account and whatever you are doing for your brand do with your personal account. Also it not one way street , you will need to engage with other accounts for interaction not just your own stuff. You will need to gain some critical mass apporx. 1k followers after that you need not follow the beginner rules and you can keep posting your own stuff as you are doing and you will gain followers as well traffic.
Right now you are behaving as if you have large number of followers but this will not work in the beginning.
I am also new so please discount my opinion accordingly.

Thank you so much for your advice! It's truly inspiring! Using personal accounts to drive traffic to brand accounts, I believe it can be more efficient than solely managing a brand account.

We're also trying to crack Twitter, but one of the things we've found working is to reply and retweet big twitter accounts in your niche.

    1. 1

Great suggestion! I rarely retweet big accounts because I don't want to disrupt the consistency, but it's definitely a trade-off!

      1. 2

Yeah, I learned in another post in this community is that the goal for retweets/replies is to "steal" followers from big accounts, metaphorically of course.

  5. 2

I would suggest, do whatever you do, but be consistent.

There is no formula for this. It's all about trial and error

Here are some quick tips to grow your Twitter followers:

Engage with your audience through replies, retweets, and likes.
    Share consistent and quality content.
    Utilize relevant hashtags.
Collaborate with influencers for wider reach.
Run contests or giveaways to encourage participation.
Promote your Twitter handle on other platforms.
    Analyze and optimize your tweets.
Good luck with growing your Twitter following!

    Best regards,
    Pooja

I would start by getting the Blue verification so it enhances all of your efforts, if you plan to use Twitter seriously for marketing. Then I would start by watching a bunch of YouTube videos using search terms like "twitter growth strategies."

Or if you're looking for a more organized way to spend your time, then purchase a proven Twitter growth course like this one which has around 500 5 star reviews (100%). It's called Create 24/7: The Blueprint to Build a 6-Figure Twitter Business and it's a gumroad product. (I'm not able to post direct links yet).

I'm also new to Twitter but this is my plan. In short, just copy other successful accounts. Good luck!

Sounds like a solid plan! Thank you so much for commenting :) Very useful advice!

Do not focus on followers, focus on leads. To do this, find a competitor or relevant author whom your clients follow and DM them.

      Appreciate your perspective. Great strategy!

The struggle is real, but I agree with some fellow hackers. People don't react well if they feel you are asking for their attention, but they do feel engaged when they can take something knowledge from you.

    1. 1

Absolutely! Valuable knowledge and content definitely drive their motivation!
